Osteopathy, it’s not just for when you are sore!
Day to day we can have a lot of stress in our lives and we love to hold on tight to this stress in our bodies. We may not even feel a slow build-up of tension, as we adapt and create compensation patterns which can show up at really inopportune times.
I recommend regular treatment as part of a big-picture maintenance plan for keeping your body feeling good and moving forward.
Why?
Can help prevent injury.
Maintain flexibility and mobility.
Manage existing conditions such as persistent pain, headaches, lower back pain, breathing dysfunction, desk-bound posture
Keep you more body aware.
It makes you feel good!
How often should you have maintenance treatment?
It depends on your body and its unique makeup. Maintenance treatments should not be a source of stress so I take a what works best for you approach, this could be anything between 2 to 8 weeks. Getting into this routine also tends to encourage people to get injuries seen to quicker. Taking a wait-and-see approach to injury can sometimes lead to longer recovery time.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch to talk about what a maintenance treatment plan might look like for you.
